Meet the Maker

Hi, I'm Brooke, the creator behind The Candle Library.

I started this business from a lifelong love of books, cozy spaces, and the way scent can hold a memory.  Reading has always been my escape.  It's been a place of comfort, adventure, and calm.  I wanted to creat something that brings that some feeling into everyday life. 

After starting Hillscent Candle Company a few years ago, I started feeling just like every other candle company.  My daughter suggested incorporating my love of books into my business.  What began as a small idea, has grown into a collection of literary-inspired candles designed to pair perfectly with your favorite reading moments.  Whether you're lighting one during a slow morning, gifting one to a fellow reader, or creating a custom candle inspired by a book you love, my hope is that each one feels like a little piece of comfort and story brought to life.

More than anything, this brand is about creating space to slow down, romanticize the small moments, and make your home feel like your own personal library.
